Today we continued with the Book theme and the goal was to have all illustrations complete by one pm deadline. The important part of todays class wasn't the deadline but that everyone had a strong unique idea worked out in their sketchbooks. I had supplied samples of other illustrators work to inspire and introduce the students to different approaches when illustrating in black line. This was well received by some and helped the students complete the illustration with confidence. I am enjoying working with these students and am impressed with their enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things. Here's some snaps of the work in progress and some finished illustrations.
