A3 Posters

The TY students work is on exhibition at the 

Walkinstown Library Dublin

from today  the 2nd June until the 19th of June.

22nd of May 2015 and the work is framed and ready to hang. (Frame size h50 cm x w1080 cm) The Giclee prints won't fade with exposure to light so the school can enjoy the beautiful palette of colours chosen by the TY students.


Friday 22 February 2015. (The start of the project)Each student chose a quote to illustrate, as part of a poster project. They used their sketchbooks to draw up a plan. Once they were happy with the result the design was reproduced on two sheets of A3 cartridge paper using gouache black paint and brushes. On one sheet they painted the lettering and on the other they painted block areas of black that would be used later to sit the lettering on. I scanned their artwork and prepared the artwork in Adobe Illustrator. Each student would decide on the colours palette and instruct me to resize and move elements of the artwork until they were satisfied. The results are excellent and once everyone has had the opportunity to finish their poster digitally we will have them printed up as A4 Giclee Prints.

All 24 artworks files have been completed and are at the printers. Looking forward to seeing the finished artwork printed up and framed before everyone heads off on Summer Holidays.
