I picked up a copy of the 2015-16 School Journal and was pleased to see all the students black and white illustration work had been included.
Look how much a couple of illustrations can transform a page from looking so text heavy to a page that holds your interest and are happy to revisit the pages to look over the detail in the drawings and reread the text.
The School Journal project involves using the white space available in the Journal. The students were asked to produce a black and while illustration to suit the topic of the page. Some students were given the task of illustrating decorative pieces used to divide the text and decorate the foot of the page.
